In the lovely Liese chicken coop, chickens, chicks, quails, rabbits and also guinea pigs can be kept.

It makes sense to let the chickens run in a small enclosure or free-range during the day.

The coop is made of softwood, non-toxic and impregnated against moisture. The wire mesh is galvanised and offers good protection against predators such as martens and foxes.

With the metal slide you can easily close and open the door from the main house to the free-range run from the outside.
Two chicken perches offer a species-appropriate sleeping place.

The drawer base is sturdy, made of metal and therefore super easy to clean.

The roof and the nesting box are covered with roofing felt. The lid of the nesting box opens easily. This way you can easily collect the eggs.

The legal regulations for organic farming stipulate the following for laying hens with regard to housing area:
A maximum of 6 animals may be kept per square metre of housing area.

How many chickens for my household:
On average, laying hens can lay between 180 and 220 eggs per year. With 3 laying hens we calculate 3 x an average of 200 eggs = 600 eggs per year, which is about 11 eggs per week. It is clear that 3 laying hens are usually sufficient for a family. There are breeds that lay even more eggs.

The best place to set it up:
In summer the small animal hutch should be placed in the shade to protect the animals from overheating. It is best to place the small animal hutch sheltered from wind and rain. That way the hutch can be a home for your darlings for a long time.
